Whispering Roots created a program to teach Indigenous tribal members of the Omaha Reservation in Macy, NE, best practice horticulture through funding from USDA and Farm Credit Service of America.

 

The educational emphasis is on food production, diabetes alleviation, and next-generation agriculture in a controlled greenhouse environment allowing for year-round production of healthy, nutritious food for these communities and expose students to career opportunities.
